Our Diet
Vegetarian Diet
Our diets are designed to include the range of tissue types and nutrients sources consumed by wild carnivores. In addition to pure muscle meat from horse and other herbivores, Meat Eater Diets include exact levels of organ and connective tissue as well as trace amounts of vegetable matter, duplicating the broad nutrition wild carnivores derive from their prey.1 Our Diets Don?t Work programs (click to programs) are available in many forms. Now is the time to create a new you where you can eat when hungry, make healthy choices, and stop when you are full?without a struggle.2 Our diets have been compared to the others under special fluorescent lights (similar to black lights) that recreate the light frequencies that birds see and it was Harrison’s that emitted the most natural colors. Novel colors (the type used in most fancy colored bird foods) are of zero value to birds unless they are conditioned by humans to recognize them.3
Our diets are convenient and ready to serve - no mixing, cutting, or measuring. 4 Our diets are freshly prepared, using only the finest farm-fresh ingredients. All of our diets are prepared by hand, by Chef K9 and our staff.5 Antioxidants work by inhibiting toxic substances in the body (also known as "free radicals") which may lead to the development of cancers, heart disease and the aging process. There has been a strong correlation between diets high in fruits and vegetables (which are rich in antioxidants) and reduced risk of chronic diseases.6 Antioxidants are being added to vinegars, snack bars, juices, red wind and a number of other food products. Eating colorful fruit and vegetables, nuts chocolate and dried spices will give you natural antioxidants.7
Eating too much sodium can even trigger sudden heart failure . Limiting sodium, a major component of salt, in your diet helps prevent your body from retaining extra fluid.8 Eating too much saturated fat can raise blood cholesterol levels and increase the risk of heart disease. To enjoy the health benefits of dairy without eating too much fat, use semi-skimmed milk, skimmed milk or 1% fat milks, lower-fat hard cheeses or cottage cheese, and lower-fat yoghurt.9 Eating too many calories, no matter what the source is, can lead to overweight if they are not expended through activity. This is true for all types of foods and drinks: if they contribute to an excessive energy intake relative to energy needs, then they contribute to weight gain.10
Eating healthy foods and following a healthy lifestyle is often more than just following a diet. Although we can learn a lot from the various diet plans, many of us find that tailoring a plan to meet our own individual needs works best for the long term.11 Eating too many calories makes you fat regardless of the source. You are what -- and how much -- you eat.12 Eating less sodium does not have to be hard, but you do have to think about it. Salt is in many foods, so limiting your salt intake means more than just not using the salt shaker.13
Raw Food
Eating while driving isn't exactly that great for your perceptual awareness either. Irresponsible behavior undertaken in part because of drug use can be penalized already under existing legal codes (like DUIs are).14 Eat at a table and have a glass of wine. The French have a great attitude to all this.15 Eating high fiber foods help you feel fuller and more satisfied. When is the last time you paid attention to how much Fiber you take in daily?16
Eating dried beans four times a week has been shown to reduce the risk of colon cancer and heart disease. 17 Eat foods like apples, peaches, pears, and potatoes with their skins. Choose cooked dry peas and beans; they are a good source of fiber.18
Meat, fish, dairy products, and vegetables naturally contain sodium. Sodium is also used as a preservative in processed foods, such as ham, sausage and pastrami.19 Meat and dairy products from ruminant animals are supported by lower quality, but more widely available, land that can support pasture and hay. A large pool of such land is available in New York state because for sustainable use, most farmland requires a crop rotation with such perennial crops as pasture and hay.20

Sodium is not just in table salt. You can also find it in sodium citrate, sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), and monosodium glutamate (MSG).27 Sodium, which is found naturally in most foods, accounts for approximately 40% of table salt. Therefore when salt is added to food, the sodium content increases by approximately 40% of the amount of salt added.28 Sodium depletion is usually associated with dehydration as, when we overheat, we lose water and salt through sweat. Failure to replenish the salt can be harmful.29
Detoxification is also helpful for weight loss, although this is not the primary purpose . 31 Detoxing is occurring and necessary nutrients are being supplied, allowing bodies to heal naturally. 32

But kidneys that aren't working well can have trouble eliminating the excess fluid.36Healthy eating begins with learning how to “eat smart”—it’s not just what you eat, but how you eat. Your food choices can reduce your risk of illnesses such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes as well as defend against depression.37
Fat is also essential in our diets for the absorption of certain fat-soluble vitamins, like A, D, E, and K. Without these vitamins, a person cannot properly absorb calcium (which leads to brittle bones), blood may not form or clot properly, nerves may malfunction, and hormone production may be affected.38 Fat should not be limited in children less than 2 years. After 2 years, children should gradually limit dietary fat so that by around age 5, between 20 and 30 per-cent of calories come from fat.39 Fat should make up roughly 25 % of our daily calories. But not all fats are healthy.40
Fat helps create this malfunction in many diabetic and pre-diabetic people. 41
Nutritionally, there is no necessary substance found in red meat that is not found in other foods, and vitamin B12 is the only nutrient that must come from animal sources (except it is found in kelp and some algae). Our emphasis on meat not only leads to heart attack, stroke, and cancer but also reduces our food production (16 pounds of grain are needed to make one pound of beef) and adds to global warming (due to clearing woods to make pasture and to raise animal feed and also due to the animals' production of methane, a greenhouse gas).44 Nutritional deficiencies caused my body to be unable to activate the right enzymes needed to digest some foods, especially milk. Undigested, fermenting food in my stomach caused allergic reactions and irritable bowel problems.45
Proteins in our bodies are always in flux. There's a constant turnover: the amino acids in cells must be replaced daily by recently digested amino acids from foods.47 Protein is supplied primarily by plant sources. Supplemental amino acids are added to provide the proper amount and balance of essential amino acids.48 Protein is 35%, preferably Omega 3 rich. Carbohydrates (also 35%) are only vegetables and fruit, no beans, bread, potatoes, or any grain.49
Humans also taste our finished products as part of our normal QC process at the manufacturing plant and we also taste all raw ingredients during R & D stages, too. 53 Human studies have shown that women who eat little in pregnancy, surprisingly, more often have children who grow into fat adults. More than a dozen studies have found that children are more likely to be fat if their mothers smoke during pregnancy.54 Humans cannot make nine of the twenty common amino acids, so these amino acids are considered to be essential. In other words, we must get these amino acids from our diets.55
Mineral water emerges from under the ground, then flows over rocks before it's collected, resulting in a higher content of various minerals. Unlike spring water, it can't be treated except to remove grit and dirt.56 Minerals are life sustaining. The body can function, however poorly, without vitamins, but without minerals the body will die.57
Salt has often received an undeserved bad reputation among health conscious people. It is an essential electrolyte, and is especially important for endurance athletes who may be losing a lot of sodium while also consuming a lot of fluid.59 Salt makes food taste good. Therefore, it must be bad for us.60 Salt is used by some manufacturers to increase palatability. We believe it should be used only at the low levels that are needed for cellular health and to meet AAFCO nutrient requirements.61
Fresh green beans have the least salt. The correct answer is a.62 Fresh, organic produce from your own garden doesn?t require the scrubbing that factory-farmed veggies do. And you?ll have the bonus of tastier meals.63
Caloric restriction has resulted in enhanced mental capability, fewer joint and connective tissue problems and lowered incidence of cataracts, not to mention life span increases upwards of thirty five percent and more! 71 Calorie shifting basically keeps your metabolism from becoming complacent. So instead of following, for example, a 1200 calorie diet for months on end, you provide shocks to your system so that your metabolism doesn't expect the same thing every day.72
Vitamin C in high doses (up to 100 grams/day or more IV) has been shown to be very effective in the treatment of cancer . This is an extremely positive and safe course to take in that it promotes an increased state of wellness and experience shows that high levels of vitamin C act as a chemotherapy potentiator.78 Vitamin C assists the absorption of iron, so try drinking a glass of orange juice when you take an iron supplement. 79
